In 2005 Ms. Vanderveen joined Dykema, where she is a Government Policy Advisor to national and state corporations and associations specializing in regulated industries, state procurement, and local government. Prior to joining Dykema, Ms. Vanderveen was a partner in a multi-client firm, Vanderveen & Associates, representing diverse interests including health care, manufacturing, telecommunications, state procurement and local government. Ms. Vanderveen also worked for over twenty years as a legislative aide and Chief of Staff in the Michigan Senate. She utilizes that experience as well as her years of lobbying to help clients develop advocacy strategy and public policy positions.
Ms. Vanderveen is invited to speak frequently to organizations on the role of a lobbyist in the legislative process and has served as a mentor to those entering the profession.
Ms. Vanderveen received her Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Illinois.
