Introduction
Dykema represents individuals and companies involved in the extensive regulatory system established under the Michigan Gaming Control and Revenue Act. Members of the firm were actively engaged in the drafting of the act and have worked closely with the Michigan Gaming Control Board on rules promulgation and implementation issues. We provide advice regarding compliance with the provisions of the act prohibiting persons with an interest in a casino or casino's licensee and their families from making state or local political contributions. We also represent individuals and businesses in completing the Personal Disclosure Forms and the Business Disclosure Forms required of those with investments in casinos and casino suppliers.

Dykema is one of a handful of law firms that has been involved in every aspect of the development of casino gaming in Michigan, including the development of gaming on Native American land, implementation of Proposal E (voter approval of casino gaming in the state), license procurement and comprehensive business representation for both casino owners and suppliers. The firm also has experience with land and vessel-based gaming venues in other parts of the country and the U.S. Virgin Islands and Indian gaming.
