Introduction
The Government Policy Practice at Dykema includes a dedicated team of professionals with extensive experience in federal and state elections law, lobbying limitations, and campaign finance regulations. Clients include corporations, partnerships, limited liability companies, trade association, elected officials, nonprofit organizations, political action committees, and ballot question committees.   • Providing advice regarding corporate and individual political contributions and activity
  • Representing political candidates and committees on registration, reporting and other compliance matters
  • Establishing non-regulated political organizations under Section 527
  • Advising nonprofit and tax-exempt organizations on permissible political activity
  • Providing representation and advice regarding initiatives, referenda, and ballot question campaigns
  • Establishing Public Officeholder Accounts to use corporate and union funds for eligible office expenses in compliance with applicable law
