On June 12, 2014, Richard M. Bendix, Jr., member and co-leader of Dykema’s Bankruptcy and Restructuring Practice Group, will be one of two presenters in a webinar presented by the American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI). Titled " The 1111(b) Election: Advanced Mathematics and Strategies," this 90-minute event—part of the ABI Live webinar series—will start at 12 noon (ET).
This presentation builds upon an ABI webinar that Bendix and his co-presenter, Franklind Lea (Partner, Tactical Financial Consulting), delivered last summer: “The § 1111(b) Election, Plan Feasibility and Cramdown Issues.”
This year’s webinar is an interactive session in which Bendix and Lea, using a unique technology, will demonstrate to attendees the effect on payments due under a cramdown loan, when different loan amounts, interest rates, amortization periods and collateral values are applied. Bendix and Lea will show how—as different variables change—the debtor’s ability to repay a cramdown loan can be significantly altered.
