Andrew Scott, Chicago-based member in the Real Estate Practice Group, is the author of an opinion piece, “’Concealed carry’ is law: So now what for property owners?” that appears in this week’s Crain’s Chicago Business and in the publication’s online edition, ChicagoBusiness.com.

In the article, Scott discusses how Illinois’ recent passage of the Firearm Concealed Carry Act will affect building owners, landlords and tenants. He outlines the obligations this new law places upon each stakeholder, and offers perspective on what actions should be taken now—since issuance of concealed carry licenses will likely start in early 2014.
