Ann D. Fillingham, a Lansing-based member of the Firm’s Business Services Department whose principal areas of practice include public and structured finance, has been named one of three chairs of the Bond Attorneys’ Workshop, an annual three-day conference aimed at senior-level practitioners in the municipal finance sector.

This year’s event—scheduled for September 25-27, 2013—will take place in Chicago. Mayor Rahm Emanuel, who has championed the Chicago Infrastructure Trust, a nonprofit public-private partnership designed to raise capital for large-scale public works, will be keynote speaker.

Fillingham underscores the importance of the Bond Attorneys’ Workshop: “This conference is a great resource for public finance lawyers, generalists and specialists alike. It enables us to hear and learn from the experts on current hot topics.”

This is the 38th year of the Bond Attorneys’ Workshop, which is presented annually by the National Association of Bond Lawyers. The forum provides members—and others in the law—advice and comment on legislation, regulations and rulings that impact the municipal finance industry.
