On Wednesday, September 11, 2013, two Chicago-based Dykema lawyers—Robert C. Linton, member and leader of the Firm’s Real Estate Practice Group, and Patrick Stanton, member and leader of Dykema’s Business Litigation Practice Group—will lead a three-hour legal seminar for members and guests of BOMA/Suburban Chicago. The session will be held at J.C. Restoration, Inc. in Rolling Meadows, Illinois, and will start at 8:30 am.

Linton and Stanton will draw upon their understandings and experience to provide perspective and insight into a wide variety of legal issues that commercial office owners/managers/landlords/investors currently face.

Among these:

  • The impact of Illinois’ recently enacted concealed carry law
  • Mistakes in leases: how to remediate, how to avoid
  • Defaulting tenants: best practices to follow, re-letting vs. subleasing
