Lance Boldrey Quoted in Law360 Article About Cannabis Law Practice Trends

Lance Boldrey, Lansing-based member of Dykema’s Gaming & Indian Law practice group, and leader of the firm’s emerging Cannabis Law practice team, was quoted in the Law360 article, “Smoke Point: How BigLaw Finally Learned to Try Pot.”

The article, which chronicles the legal community’s cautious launches into cannabis industry representation, notes that smaller boutique firms have been the pioneers in this practice area, as more and more states legalize marijuana use. Although federal law still proscribes the drug, Boldrey notes that experience with his casino gambling clientele prepared him for the complexities of assisting clients engaged in cannabis production and/or distribution.
