David T. Cellitti, member in Dykema’s Corporate Finance group and leader of the Firm’s Mergers & Acquisitions practice, was quoted in a December 14, 2012 article in the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin that highlighted results from Dykema’s 2012 Mergers & Acquisitions Outlook Survey.

In the article, Cellitti—who helped develop the questions included in this year’s survey—observes that although 2012 dealmaking is currently tracking almost 20 percent below year ago, many signs point to a rebound in the M&A space over the next 12 months. Cellitti calls attention to survey respondents’ expressed belief of more international deals in 2013 as a key contributor to this optimism.

This is the eighth year that Dykema has fielded a comprehensive survey of the M&A marketplace, in which leading practitioners weigh in on such important and questions as:

  • Which factors will contribute most importantly to M&A activity?

  • What are the hot sectors to watch?

  • What type of buyers will most influence deal valuations?
