Heather Frayre, Dallas-based attorney in Dykema’s Immigration practice group, authored the LawInSports article, “Can a History of Extraordinary Athletic Ability Help Sports Coaches Work in the USA?”

In her article, Frayre discusses the U.S. Immigration category of “Extraordinary Ability” as it applies to foreign sports star; the hurdles for nonnative athletes-turned-coaches to prove their superior capabilities to USCIS (U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services);  and the recent non-precedential Court case which may ease their chances to permanently resettle in the United States.
