Jason Hanselman Appointed to Michigan Unarmed Combat Commission

Jason T. Hanselman, Lansing-based member in the Firm’s Government Policy and Practice group, has been appointed by Gov. Rick Snyder to a four-year term on the Michigan Unarmed Combat Commission. This 11-member commission regulates all professional boxing and mixed martial arts events in the state.

With this appointment—which is subject to the advice and consent of the State of Michigan Senate—Hanselman will represent the general public in all commission deliberations.

Hanselman focuses his practice on government policy, administrative and regulatory law, advising clients in highly-regulated industries such as casino gaming. Before joining the Firm in 2000, he worked at the Michigan Supreme Court, State Court Administrative Office, the United States Internal Revenue Service, and in the Michigan House of Representatives.
