Elizabeth Khalil Quoted in BloombergLaw: Banking Article about Changes in Mobile Wallet Regulations

Elizabeth Khalil, Chicago-based member in Dykema’s Government Policy Practice Group, was quoted in a BloombergLaw: Banking article, “CFPB's Prepaid Rules Add Risk for Google, PayPal.”

The article reports that in October 2017, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau will extend the same credit card fraud protections to consumers using mobile wallets and prepaid cards. According to Khalil, the economic impact on wallet software vendors, who must now set aside funds to reimburse swindled shoppers, is unpredictable.
