Kimberly L. Kiplin, senior counsel in Dykema’s Government Policy & Practice group whose practice includes substantial experience in all aspects of gaming law, has been named a member in the International Masters of Gaming Law. Membership in this prestigious industry association, which currently numbers just 200 professionals in 38 countries around the world, is by invitation only. To be considered, candidates must have at least five years of gaming law experience and be active participants in philanthropic, charitable and educational programs related to the gaming industry.

Kiplin is based in Austin, home to the Texas Legislature and the state’s regulatory agencies and commissions. Her experience in gaming law, especially lottery and charitable bingo, is extensive. Prior to joining the Firm, she served as General Counsel for the Texas Lottery, which—generating $4.2 billion in revenue in Fiscal 2012—is one of the five largest state-administered lottery operations in the U.S.

Affirming the exclusivity of this appointment, Kiplin becomes the first Dykema lawyer to gain membership in the IMGL and is one of just two attorneys in the entire state of Texas currently granted IMGL membership.
