Christopher Kratovil Quoted in Texas Lawyer

Christopher Kratovil, Dallas-based member in Dykema’s Litigation practice group, was quoted in the Texas Lawyer article, “Who Wrote for the Majority in Controversial Abortion Decision?”, which discusses the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit’s controversial decision to uphold a Texas law that regulates—and can potentially shut down—abortion clinics.

In the article, Kratovil points out that the use of a per curiam device was unconventional because it was a lengthy, law-making opinion—assuming it was an effort to demonstrate the clarity of the law and to minimize controversy. He also stated that the use of the per curiam also ensures that no one member of the court is singled out for backlash on social media.
