Paul M. Laurenza, a member of Dykema’s Government Policy Practice Group and Managing Member of the firm’s Washington, D.C., office, was quoted in the Crain’s Detroit Business article, “Shinola Case Begs Question: What is 'American Made'?”

In the story, Laurenza asserts that the FTC rules regarding “Made in America” and similar claims are fairly unambiguous: A product must be "all or virtually all" produced in the U.S. to use said label on packaging or in advertising.
