Auto Industry Braces for Conflict Mineral Legislation

Paul Laurenza provided insight to Ward's Automotive.com on issues facing auto makers and suppliers with regard to the Conflict Minerals Act. The article focuses on some of the concerns associated with new reporting requirements which include tracing the origins of banned materials and the increased cost of compliance. A hot topic among auto makers and suppliers, Laurenza stated, "Whether you use a very small amount of a mineral or a large amount, it doesn't relieve you of the requirement."
