William Lentine Presents at Michigan Association of CPAs Conference

William C. Lentine, Bloomfield Hills-based senior attorney in Dykema’s Taxation and Estates group, will serve as a featured presenter at the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA) Litigation & Business Valuation Conference in Livonia, Michigan.

Lentine co-presented the breakout session “Mergers, Acquisitions and those Pesky Tax Issues.” The session was a crash course in potential issues faced when handling mergers and/or acquisitions. Topics included what to avoid with tax free reorgs and taxable acquisitions, recognizing personal goodwill, Sec. 336(e) opportunities, sales & use tax and nexus, opportunities for family wealth transfers and a myriad of other potential challenges.
