Van Lindberg Predicts Patent Deluge for Autonomous Vehicle Industry in Automotive World

Van Lindberg, San Antonio-based senior counsel in Dykema’s Intellectual Property Practice Group, was interviewed by Automotive World for the article “Industry ‘Unprepared’ for Imminent Autonomous Vehicle Patent Boom.”

In his comments, Lindberg warns that the development of autonomous vehicles could necessitate securing millions of new software patents, overwhelming patent searchers and leading to astronomically high legal fees.
