Jason Ross Comments on Court Expenses Reimbursement Order in Law360

Jason M. Ross, Dallas-based senior counsel in Dykema’s Litigation Group, whose practice focuses on white collar criminal defense and securities law, was quoted in the Law360 article, “5th Circ. Tells Ex-CEO Fraudster To Pay Victim's Legal Tab.”

Commenting on a court order obligating a top executive to pay the opposing party’s multimillion-dollar legal expenses—in accordance with the Mandatory Victims Restitution Act (18 USC §3669A)—Ross expressed concerns that too broad or ambiguous an interpretation of the MVRA could too readily be challenged in court.
