Ed Dore Joins Dykema As Government Policy Advisor

Dykema, a leading national law firm, announces that Edwin (Ed) Dore has joined the firm as a Government Policy Advisor resident in the Lansing office.

Previously, Dore was Chief Deputy Director of the Michigan Department of Community Health (MDCH), where he was responsible for overall operations, infrastructure development, budget development, and resolution of complex, sensitive or precedent setting issues.  At Dykema, Dore will focus on the areas of health care and health regulatory matters; election and campaign finance; and state and local government legislative/lobby issues.

"He has worked in Michigan government for more than three decades and understands how the system works. Prior to his tenure at MDCH, Dore served as President of the Ingham Regional Healthcare Foundation, acting as liaison on behalf of Ingham Regional Medical Center with local community groups, city, county and state government. He has also worked as Deputy Secretary of State and Chief Operating Officer for the Michigan Department of State where Dore reorganized the Department to better align the organizational structure with the mission.

Earlier in his career, Dore held several positions with Michigan government including Deputy Chief Financial Officer and Executive Assistant to County Executive for Wayne County, Deputy Controller and Staff Policy Analyst for Ingham County, Senior Administrative Assistant in the Michigan State Senate Majority Office and State Affairs Division Associate Director for the Michigan Municipal League.

Dore earned a B.A. with honors from the University of Michigan and an M.P.A. from Wayne State University.
