Cox Smith Matthews Incorporated ("Cox Smith") today announced that twelve of its attorneys and four of its practice areas were recognized in the 2011 edition of Chambers USA, an annual legal guide that compiles rankings of the nation's best lawyers through research, client interviews and testimony. The complete 2011 edition of Chambers USA Guide: America's Leading Lawyers for Business, which includes final tiered rankings and editorial content, will be available in June 2011.

In the Chambers USA 2011 guide, Cox Smith's Tom Alleman (Insurance), Mark Andrews (Bankruptcy/Restructuring), Mike Ferrill (Antitrust), Pam Huff (Intellectual Property), Bart Huffman (Intellectual Property), Karen Neeley (Banking & Finance), Kathy Poppitt (Healthcare), Jim Spivey (Antitrust), Arlene Steinfield (Labor & Employment), George Tarpley (Bankruptcy/Restructuring), Kathleen Campbell Walker (Immigration) and Deborah Williamson (Bankruptcy/Restructuring) were selected in their respective practice areas. The firm's Antitrust, Bankruptcy, Insurance, and Intellectual Property practice areas were recognized as well.

"Chambers' researchers conducted extensive research with lawyers and their clients as part of their investigation and analysis, which is one of the many reasons I am proud of our attorneys and practices recognized by Chambers USA this year," said Jamie Smith, managing director of Cox Smith. "It's testament to our relationships with our clients who participated on our behalf, the level of client service we provide, and the ongoing counsel we provide to our clients that we were recognized."

Headquartered in London, Chambers and Partners' highly qualified team of researchers conducts thousands of interviews with lawyers and their clients. Working together, they identify and rank the world's best lawyers (i.e. those who perform best according to the criteria most valued by clients – such as technical expertise, business acumen, prompt delivery, value for money).
