Dykema, a leading national law firm, announced today that its Executive Board elected 13 new members to the firm effective January 1, 2016. Dykema’s new partners, and descriptions of their practices, are listed below.

Alison R. Ashmore is a member of Dykema’s Commercial Litigation Practice Group and is based in the firm’s Dallas office. Her practice includes a broad range of business issues and business disputes including contractual disputes, protection of confidential information and intellectual property, breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, unfair competition, and other business claims, as well as employment issues and bankruptcy claims.

Ashmore earned a J.D., cum laude, from the Baylor University Law School, and a B.A., magna cum laude, from Hardin-Simmons University.

Jong-Ju Chang is a member of Dykema’s Business Litigation Practice Group and is based in the firm’s Bloomfield Hills office. She has successfully represented clients in many areas of litigation, including complex commercial, contract, and Uniform Commercial Code disputes; consumer finance litigation;  bankruptcy litigation; real estate litigation; and disputes related to other business torts.

Chang earned a J.D., cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin, as well as an M.S.W. and a B.A. from the University of Michigan.

Melanie J. Chico is a member of Dykema’s Commercial Litigation Practice Group and is based in the firm’s Chicago office. She concentrates her practice on commercial litigation matters in state and federal court at both the trial and appellate levels, including contractual disputes, real estate development and construction litigation, employment litigation, product liability defense, and banking and lending litigation.

Chico earned a J.D. from the University of Chicago, and a B.A. from Duke University.

Ashley R. Fickel is a member of Dykema’s Financial Services Litigation Practice Group and is based in the firm’s Los Angeles office. He has significant experience handling a variety of complex litigation from inception through trial, including in the areas of consumer financial services litigation, class action litigation, product liability and toxic tort litigation.

Fickel earned a J.D., cum laude, from Pepperdine University School of Law, and a B.A. from Westmont College.

Zachary Q. Hoard is a member of Dykema’s Commercial Litigation Practice Group and is based in the firm’s Dallas office. He concentrates his practice on handling business disputes and regulatory issues for his clients, including contractual disputes, breach of fiduciary duty, general negligence, vicarious liability, fraud and misrepresentation, tortious interference, conversion and other business claims, as well as advising clients on government investigations and regulatory compliant business plans.

Hoard earned a J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center, and a B.A. from the University of Texas.

Eric S. Klein is a member of Dykema’s Health Care Practice Group and is based in the firm’s Bloomfield Hills office. His practice is devoted to representing clients in the health care sector with respect to corporate and regulatory issues, including compliance and reimbursement matters, health facility acquisitions and other changes of ownership, licensure and Medicare/Medicaid certification matters, and issues relating to fraud and anti-kickback prohibitions. 

Klein earned a J.D., with honors, from George Washington University, and a B.A., magna cum laude, from Yale University.

William C. Lentine is a member of Dykema’s Taxation Practice Group and is based in the firm’s Bloomfield Hills office. He is experienced in corporate, partnership and mergers & acquisitions tax matters, as well as estate planning for executives and high net worth individuals. His experience includes acting as outside general counsel, including advising on corporate governance issues, compliance and other general corporate law matters with significant experience advising foreign companies on inbound startup formations and acquisitions.

A licensed CPA, Lentine earned a J.D., magna cum laude, and a B.A. in accounting from Michigan State University.

Dommond E. Lonnie is a member of Dykema’s Products, Class Action & Professional Liability Litigation Practice Group and is based in the firm’s Los Angeles office. He specializes in handling a wide variety of civil litigation matters, providing aggressive and innovative legal representation for his clients in the areas of product liability, personal injury, class action, toxic tort, and commercial litigation.

Lonnie earned a J.D. and B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Mark J. Magyar is a member of Dykema’s Business Litigation Practice Group and is based in the firm’s Grand Rapids office. His practice focuses on representation of clients in a variety of business and commercial litigation and appellate matters, including consumer financial services litigation, commercial litigation, products liability defense, class action defense, white-collar defense, antitrust defense and trust & estate litigation. Magyar is a council member for the Appellate Practice Section of the State Bar of Michigan.

Magyar earned a J.D. from the University of Michigan, and a B.A., magna cum laude, from Western Michigan University as a member of the Lee Honors College.

Nicholas J. Monaghan is a member of Dykema’s Corporate Finance Practice Group and is based in the firm’s San Antonio office. He concentrates his practice on complex corporate transactions and business counseling services, advising clients in the purchase and sale of companies and assets, the creation of joint ventures and partnerships, and the negotiation of key commercial agreements.

Monaghan earned a J.D., magna cum laude, from Notre Dame Law School, and a B.A., magna cum laude, from the University of Arizona.

Luke Sosnicki is a member of Dykema’s Financial Services Litigation Practice Group and is based in the firm’s Los Angeles office. He has extensive experience defending banks and mortgage servicers in individual and class action lawsuits across the country.

Sosnicki earned a J.D., cum laude, from the Northwestern University School of Law, and a B.S. from the University of Wisconsin.

Eric L. White is a member of Dykema’s Corporate Finance Practice Group and is based in the firm’s Dallas office. He counsels clients on transactional business law matters involving domestic and international finance transactions, including leveraged financings, structured financings, bridge financings, Islamic finance (also known as Sharia compliant finance) and derivatives.

White earned a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law, and a B.B.A. from the University of Texas.

Monica B. Wilkinson is a member of Dykema’s Health Care Practice Group and is based in the firm’s Detroit office. She practices in the field of health care law, focusing on regulatory, compliance, operations and licensed professional matters. She has extensive experience in hospital law and operations, physician issues, integrated health care systems, and nonprofit foundations.

She earned a J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center, and a B.A., cum laude, from Michigan State University.
