DETROIT — Dykema, a leading national law firm, today announced that members of the firm's Automotive Industry Group were speakers at national industry conferences in January.

Aleksandra Miziolek, the Director of Dykema's Automotive Industry Group was part of a panel discussing "Acquisition Waves in the Automotive Industry" at KPMG's Automotive Legal & Compliance Share Forum. The event covered timely and relevant topics for those involved in the legal or compliance function in the Automotive industry and was held at the Cobo Center in Detroit on Tuesday, January 11.

Miziolek's practice focuses primarily on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and other corporate transactions involving public and privately held companies. She has extensive experience representing companies in automotive, transportation and infrastructure related industries and also counsels public companies and their boards of directors in the areas of corporate governance and fiduciary duties, including representation of special committees of the board in the review of strategic alternatives.

In addition, Dick Goetz, the leader of Dykema's International Practice Group will be part of a panel discussing "Corporate Responsibility for HR/Compliance: Ethics and Foreign Corrupt Practices Act" as part of the Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG) Automotive Conference: The Road to Corporate Responsibility. The conference will cover the core aspects of corporate responsibility, risk mitigation and compliance for the automotive industry and will be held at the Management Education Center in Troy, MI on January 25 and 26.

Goetz joined Dykema following a 32 year career with Ford Motor Company where, as Associate General Counsel-International, he was responsible for legal matters affecting the company's international operations as well as providing strategic advice and counsel to senior company management.
