Michael D. Kim Returns to Dykema In Chicago

CHICAGO—Dykema Gossett PLLC announced today the return of associate Michael D. Kim to the firm’s Corporate Finance practice in Chicago. Kim first joined Dykema as an associate in 2008. Most recently, he was an associate with the law firm Horwood Marcus & Berk, Chartered.

Kim concentrates his practice in representing domestic and foreign banks, and other financial institutions, in structuring and documenting financing transactions. He also has significant experience in commercial real estate focusing on the acquisition, disposition, development, leasing and financing of commercial properties.

Kim earned his B.S. in Education and Social Policy from Northwestern University. He went on to earn his J.D. from DePaul University College of Law in 2007, where he also earned a Certificate in Taxation. While in law school, Kim was the managing editor of the DePaul Business & Commercial Law Journal and authored The Downward Creep: An Overview of the AMT and Its Expansion to the Middle-Class, 6 DePaul Bus.& Comm. L.J. 451 (2008). In addition, Kim is accredited by the U.S. Green Building Council as a LEED Green Associate. The LEED Green Associate credential is awarded to professionals in a non-technical field of practice who have demonstrated green building expertise through knowledge of green design, construction, and operations.
