Select Environmental Law Developments, TriMas Corporation’s Annual Retreat for its Legal Team and Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Executives

Grant P. Gilezan, Detroit-based member and leader of Dykema’s Environmental Law Practice Group, delivered  a presentation recently to the TriMas Corporation’s Annual Retreat for its Legal Team and Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) executives. Gilezan’s presentation—“ Select Environmental Law Developments”—addressed recent regulations and cases involving a broad array of environmental matters.

In his presentation, Gilezan provided regulatory updates on the following issues (each of which is highly pertinent to TriMas, a Michigan-based designer, manufacturer and distributor of diversified engineered products for industrial, commercial and consumer use worldwide):

• Solvent-contaminated wipes
• Hazardous waste manifest requirements
• Permits for stormwater discharges at industrial facilities
• Particular matter air emission standards
• International standards for waste management, chemical regulation, and environmental and safety management systems
