Dykema Appellate Team Obtains Victory in Texas Supreme Court for Ford Motor Company Regarding Discovery

In a decision announced March 28, 2014, the Texas Supreme Court ruled in favor of Dykema client Ford Motor Company, represented by Dykema appellate team members David Schenck and Christopher Kratovil.

The decision is particularly significant in that it imposes a new outer limit on discovery from expert witnesses. The Dykema team convinced the court that Texas law did not permit the level of discovery from an expert’s employer that plaintiff had sought and that the lower courts authorized.
