Eric Carver to Present at ICLE Seminar on Fundamentals of Estate Administration

Eric Thomas Carver, member in Tax and Estate Planning/Administration, will be one of several guest speakers at an all-day seminar, “Fundamentals of Estate Administration,” presented by the Institute of Continuing Legal Education (ICLE) on Tuesday, February 19, 2013. The event – to be held at the Inn of St. John’s in Plymouth, Michigan – is co-sponsored by the Probate and Estate Planning Section of the State Bar of Michigan, and will be simultaneously webcast and video-broadcast to select Michigan locations.
The seminar will address a variety of practical issues – including an overview of client management, probate form completion and taxation – that practitioners in Probate and Estate Planning face each day.
Carver will focus his remarks on Small Estate Proceedings, and will discuss such aspects as:
- Affidavit procedure
- Net asset limitation
- Personal property issues
- Determination of charges against the estate; and,
- Closing the estate
