Mark Mansour Speaks About Food Safety Claims in FoodDive

Mark Mansour, Washington, D.C.-based Member in Dykema’s Health Care Practice Group, was quoted in the FoodDive article, “Two-thirds of food processors expect food-safety claims to rise, report says.”

The article reported on the increased awareness of food safety issues and described Federal-level programs which are designed to make food safety systems more prevention-focused, as well as the use of technology to help reduce foodborne illnesses. Mansour stated that the previous administration allowed fewer inspections and citations and less regulatory activity, but the industry is welcoming more strident regulation under the Biden administration.
