The National Association of Legal Professionals®, an association of legal career professionals who advise law students, law offices, and law schools in North America and beyond, has conferred its Service Excellence Award on Sarah Staup, Director of Professional Personnel at Dykema.

Staup, resident in the Dykema’s Detroit office, administers the Firm’s hiring of lawyers and its summer associate program. She also directs Dykema’s Paralegal Program.

In announcing this award, NALP’s Board of Directors, commended Staup for her two-year leadership of the organization’s Directory of Legal Employers (NDLE) Work Group. Under Staup’s guidance, the group executed a comprehensive redesign of the NDLE—a resource that connects law students with law firms—to update information about new career models, diversity and professional development. The redesign also streamlined the input questions, to make it a more effective and efficient tool for students, law schools and legal employers.

“We are delighted that NALP has chosen to honor Sarah with this award,” says Lisa Brown, Detroit-based member and the Firm’s Hiring Partner. “To be recognized by such a valued and important organization for service excellence—a principle central to how Dykema approaches every client engagement—is a very special accomplishment.”
