Peter M. Kellett, Dykema Chairman and CEO, is the subject of an extensive profile in the March 2014 issue of Metropolitan Corporate Counsel, a monthly publication distributed to more than 30,000 top-tier executives (chief legal officers, general counsel) in the law departments of major U.S. companies.

The article—“A Client-Friendly Firm Philosophy Spurs Growth”—is the result of a one-on-one interview with Metropolitan Corporate Counsel’s editor, Al Driver. In this article, Kellett talks at length about the Firm’s commitment to client service, calling attention to a systematic client interview process—conducted both by Dykema and through third parties—that measures and provides quantitative ratings on how the Firm delivers against client expectations.

Kellett also talks about the Firm’s recent receipt of a perfect 100 score in the 2014 Corporate Equality Index, fielded by the Human Rights Campaign. Kellett notes that this score—which places Dykema among 300 companies that earn “The Best Places to Work” designation—is the result of the Firm’s long-standing commitment to diversity and inclusion that also include such actions as changing the EEO policy to include gender identity and expression, creating a firm-wide employee resource group for LGBT employees and seeking to expand a women’s business initiative program from two markets—Chicago and Detroit—to others within the Dykema network.

Kellett also talks about the Firm’s recent geographic expansion (opening offices in Minneapolis and Austin in 2013) and launch of a new industry group—Hospitality & Gaming—a rapidly-expanding business sector in which the Firm has broad-based experience.
