Allison Scott Discusses California Mask Mandates in SHRM

Allison Scott, Los Angeles-based attorney in Dykema’s Labor and Employment Practice Group, was quoted in the SHRM article, “California Employers Must Follow Strict Rules on Masks in Workplaces.”

In the article, Scott discussed Cal/OSHA’s requirement for masks to be worn in public or private spaces, indoors or outdoors, when interacting with people from outside one’s household, regardless of vaccination status. Because of the increase in lawsuits by employees who complain about COVID safety, she cautioned employers to act quickly to correct workers who are not in compliance.
