Rob Boonin Interviewed by Detroit Legal News After Wage Bill Passes

Robert A. Boonin, Detroit- and Ann Arbor–based member in Dykema’s Labor & Employment Practice Group, and former chair of the Wage and Hour Defense Institute, talks to the Detroit Legal News for its article, “Robert A. Boonin on Raising of Minimum Wage,” which appeared in the publication’s Asked and Answered column.

Boonin examines the motivating forces which led to the passage of a state wage increase and paid sick leave bill in the Michigan legislature, touching on party politics and possible future amendments. He further discusses the consequences for tipped workers, and advises employers about how to prepare for the new law.
