Robert Boonin Quoted in SHRM Story about States’ Last Chance to Block Overtime Rule Implementation

Robert Boonin, Detroit and Ann Arbor-based member in Dykema’s Labor & Employment Practice Group, was quoted at length in the Society for Human Resource Management article, “21 States File Emergency Motion to Bar FLSA Overtime Rule.”

In the article, Boonin predicts that various Chambers of Commerce will also unite to file a motion to prevent the DOL from enforcing the new overtime rules (redefining exempt and non-exempt job categories), but notes that these are last-ditch efforts to halt the rules from taking effect December 1st.
