Cale Johnson Named an “Up & Coming Lawyer” by Michigan Lawyers Weekly

Cale A. Johnson, Bloomfield Hills-based member in Dykema’s Litigation practice, was recently named one of 30 “Up & Coming Lawyers” for 2017 by Michigan Lawyers Weekly. A luncheon celebrating the honorees will be held December 7 at the Detroit Marriott in Troy, Michigan.

According to Michigan Lawyers Weekly, the honorees of the Up & Coming Lawyers Class of 2017 are in their first 10 years of practice, are establishing a name for themselves, go above and beyond, and display the ambition, drive, determination and accomplishments that set them apart from their peers.

In his practice, Johnson focuses on all aspects of antitrust and competition law. Throughout his career, he has garnered experience representing corporations in government investigations, including civil merger defense and criminal investigations into allegations of price fixing, bid rigging, and market allocation. He has represented clients in matters involving governmental antitrust and regulatory authorities around the world, including investigations by global authorities into potential anti-competitive practices in the automotive industry. Johnson has also represented a number of U.S. and international Fortune 500 companies in high-profile civil litigation, including class action defense.

He was also recently elected to serve as Chair of the State Bar of Michigan’s Antitrust, Franchising & Trade Regulation Section.

Prior to joining Dykema, Johnson, who earned a J.D. and a B.A. from the University of Michigan, was an associate at two AmLaw 100 firms in New York City. He also served as a Special Assistant District Attorney with the Kings County (Brooklyn), New York District Attorney’s office, where he handled a variety of criminal prosecutions.
