Eric Carver Elected as an Accredited Estate Planner

Eric Carver, Detroit and Bloomfield Hills-based member in Dykema’s Tax & Estate Planning practice, has been elected as an Accredited Estate Planner (AEP) by the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils (NAEPC).

The NAEPC is a national nonprofit organization of professional estate planners and affiliated local estate planning councils focused on establishing and monitoring the highest professional and educational standards in the estate planning profession. It currently consists of 230 local estate planning councils and their 27,000 members throughout the U.S. 

For one to become an AEP, designees must meet and maintain appropriate licensing, be significantly engaged in estate planning activities, maintain membership in an affiliated estate planning council, maintain an strong professional reputation, and complete at least 30 credits of continuing education.
