Several Dykema lawyers were featured speakers at two recent American Bar Association (ABA) conferences, delivering presentations and moderating panel discussions that garnered national coverage in industry media.

In late March, five members of the Firm’s Automotive and Product Liability Practice Group—Derek Whitefield, Mike Cooney, John Thomas, Terri Reiskin and Brittany Schultz—were key presenters at a three-day ABA conference, Emerging Issues in Motor Vehicle Products Liability Litigation. Dykema’s leadership role in this conference, attended by several hundred industry experts, OEM and automotive supplier attorneys and trial attorneys (both plaintiff and defense), was summarized in an article that appeared in Westlaw Journal Automotive.

Also in late March, Steve Bolerjack, senior counsel in Dykema’s antitrust and trade regulation practice, addressed the 60th Annual Spring Meeting of the ABA Antitrust Section. Bolerjack’s presentation, which used some recent high-profile collective bargaining agreements involving major sports leagues as a springboard, centered on employer cooperation in the bargaining process. The highlights of Bolerjack’s presentation were captured in an article that appeared in the Bloomberg BNA Antitrust & Trade Regulation Report™.
