Jonathan Feld and Kara Murphy Author FCPA Article for Metropolitan Corporate Counsel

Chicago-based attorneys Jonathan S. Feld, leader of Dykema’s Government Investigations and Corporate Compliance group, and Kara B. Murphy, associate in the firm’s Business Litigation Practice Group, co-authored the article, “Make that Thirteen Labors: FCPA requirements present Herculean labor for compliance officers,” which appeared in the July/August issue of Metropolitan Corporate Counsel.

In the article, Feld and Murphy discuss how Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) enforcement sanctions have increased significantly in recent years and that enforcement is no longer a concern only for Fortune 100 global companies. They highlight that FCPA compliance is a prerequisite for companies of all sizes, especially those in the middle market.

Feld and Murphy go on to talk about anti-bribery compliance programs, monitoring third parties, and the new era of responsibility and liability for compliance officers.
