Dykema is proud to announce that Jason Grinnell, Los Angeles-based senior counsel in Dykema's Real Estate practice group, was recently appointed to serve on the Executive Committee for the California Lawyers Association's (CLA) Real Property Law Section. The Section's Executive Committee is responsible for planning CLE programs and networking opportunities for its Members.

The CLA is California’s state-level voluntary bar association. The CLA separated from the California State Bar earlier this year to allow the State Bar to focus on admissions and discipline while allowing the CLA to focus on educational programs, publications and events. The CLA consists of sixteen Sections, one of which is the Real Property Law Section (its third largest).

Grinnell focuses his practice on real estate finance, with a particular emphasis on renewable energy project finance, and all aspects of commercial real estate transactions. He regularly advises financial institutions in connection with commercial real estate loan transactions, including construction, permanent and mezzanine financing. Grinnell represents both financial institutions and opportunistic investors in loan workouts, forbearances and other distressed debt transactions.

The CLA's Real Property Law Section tweeted congratulations to Grinnell and other appointees when the news became official. To learn more about the CLA, click here.
