Dante A. Stella, Detroit-based member of Dykema’s Business Litigation practice, head of the firm’s electronic discovery practice and co-chair of the firm’s Discovery Management Group, authored the article—“Nine Tips For Controlling Discovery Expenses And Risks”—that appears in the September 2014 issue of Metropolitan Corporate Counsel, a monthly publication viewed by nearly 20,000 top-tier executives (chief legal officers, general counsel) in the law departments of major U.S. companies.

In the article, Stella shares nine ways that inside counsel can help keep pending and future projects on time, on budget and under control, including working with IT to understand company data systems and limitations, helping IT create a plan for preserving and collecting data in case something arises, and creating and enforcing a procedure for equipment and infrastructure changes.
