Dykema is pleased to announce that three of its Dallas-based attorneys—Alison Ashmore, Chris Kratovil and Christine Adamson Nowak—have been selected to the 2013 Texas Rising Stars list. This honor, conferred annually by the research team at Super Lawyers, is highly selective: no more than 2.5 percent of the lawyers in the state earn this designation.

Ashmore is an attorney in Dykema’s Business Litigation practice, representing and counseling clients in a wide variety of litigation and arbitration disputes including breach of contract, fiduciary litigation, outsourcing, antitrust, seeking injunctive relief and handling will contests and guardianship matters. In addition to being named to the 2013 Texas Rising Stars list—the second consecutive year she has earned this honor—Ashmore was just inducted as a Fellow of the Dallas Bar Foundation, an appointment that reflects outstanding professional achievement and extraordinary commitment to service, education and philanthropy.

Kratovil, a member of the Firm’s Litigation group, focuses his practice on appellate matters. He has represented clients in venues that range from small town Texas trial courts to the U.S. Supreme Court, but concentrates on matters in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and in the Texas courts of appeals. He is a frequent author and lecturer and in 2012 was named one of the “Best Lawyers in Dallas” by D Magazine. Kratovil has been selected for inclusion in the Texas Rising Stars list every year since 2007.

Nowak, a newly elected member of the Firm, focuses her practice on business and commercial litigation throughout Texas, with a particular concentration in the areas of probate, trust, tax and fiduciary duty litigation. She regularly litigates significant consumer finance matters on behalf of national mortgage lenders and servicers, and counsels clients on a variety of discovery and pre-trial matters in the federal and Texas courts. Nowak was recently named a Life Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation, in recognition of “service and devotion to the highest traditions of the Bar.” This marks the second consecutive year Nowak has been named to the Texas Rising Stars list.
