Colao Joins Dykema In Dallas

Experienced Commercial Litigation Attorney Latest Addition to Firm's Leading Litigation Practice, Continues Expansion of Growing Dallas Office

Dykema, a leading national law firm, today announced the addition of Brian A. Colao to its Litigation Department as a member in the firm's Dallas office. Colao was previously a partner in the Litigation practice at GreenbergTraurig.

Colao has a nationwide practice that focuses on all facets of complex commercial litigation, including contractual disputes, issues of corporate governance, theft of trade secrets, unfair competition, covenants not to compete, trademark infringement, fraud and deceptive trade practices, disparagement, lender liability, and other business claims. Colao also advises clients in the health care industry on numerous federal and state regulatory issues including fraud and abuse, HIPAA, corporate practice of medicine and dentistry, fee splitting, credentialing, advertising and billing issues.

At Dykema, Colao will be part of the Business and Commercial Practice Group within the Litigation Department. He will continue to focus on complex commercial litigation and to serve his clients in the healthcare and communication technology industries.

Over the last several years, Colao has served as lead trial counsel in many significant commercial disputes pending in more than 25 different federal districts in over 20 states. He has also appeared as lead counsel in numerous state court cases pending in at least 10 states and three Canadian provinces. Brian has also represented clients in commercial arbitration proceedings pending in New York, London, Amsterdam, Zurich, Costa Rica, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Dallas, New Orleans, Miami and Jacksonville.

He received a J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School and a B.A. from Binghamton University State University of New York, with outstanding academic achievement.
