Four Dykema Attorneys Named Southern California Super Lawyers

Alex Craigie is a litigator recognized for his innovative, cost-effective and, where necessary, highly aggressive approach to dispute advocacy. His practice focuses on general business, construction and real estate litigation, as well as the regional and national defense of product liability suits brought against automotive, consumer and industrial equipment manufacturers.

Allan Gabriel's practice focuses on intellectual property litigation involving patent, trademark and copyright infringement, trade secrets, false advertising and right of publicity claims on trial court and appellate levels. John Viola practices in the areas of employment litigation, insurance litigation, and business litigation. He has over 30 years experience in representing business entities on matters including insurance bad faith claims, class actions, deceptive sales practices, insolvencies, employment, ERISA, securities, and real estate. Viola has extensive trial and appellate experience in state and federal courts, as well as in ADR proceedings.

Derek Whitefield's national trial practice is focused on the defense of product manufacturers, business entities, and insurers. He is one of the most knowledgeable lawyers in the country regarding air bag technology and regulation, and he also has experience defending product liability and class action cases involving motor vehicles, lift trucks, power tools, home appliances, and other consumer products. Whitefield provides product liability avoidance advice, including design review and development of warnings, manuals and brochures and also has experience handling unfair trade practice, commercial and insurance litigation.
