Three attorneys, all members of the firm's Litigation Department, were recently elected to membership in Dykema, a leading national law firm with offices in California, Illinois, Michigan, Texas and Washington D.C.

T.L. Summerville focuses on business and commercial disputes, consumer finance matters, and defense of complex personal injury claims. He has represented clients in breach of contract and fraud cases, real estate development suits, construction litigation cases, environmental contamination actions, matters involving consumer credit and residential mortgages, automotive supplier disputes, premises liability cases, and suits involving allegations of negligent design and manufacture of both automobiles and pharmaceutical products. Mr. Summerville also counsels clients on ways to limit their exposure to litigation, including alternative dispute resolution. A resident of Detroit, Mr. Summerville received a B.A. from the University of Michigan and a J.D. from Fordham University School of Law.

S. Christopher ("Kit") Winter focuses his practice on business litigation and strategic planning, with a particular emphasis on Internet, intellectual property and media law. He has extensive knowledge of the technical, regulatory and legal framework of the Internet, and has represented numerous Internet Service Providers, content providers, domain registrars, and Internet entrepreneurs in transactional and litigation matters. A resident of Los Angeles, California, Mr. Winter received a B.A., cum laude, from Yale University and a J.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Michael P. Wippler focuses on business counseling, litigation, and negotiating and documenting business, banking and real estate transactions. Mr. Wippler has negotiated transactions both in the United States and internationally. His clients include real estate developers, medical device manufacturers, automobile manufacturers and mortgage lenders. Before joining Dykema, Mr. Wippler was Vice President and General Counsel for American Home Loans, a national mortgage banker and broker. He previously served in the United States Naval Reserve and as corporate secretary for the W.M. Keck Foundation. A resident of Orange County, California, Mr. Wippler received a B.A. from the University of California, San Diego and a J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law.
