Dykema, a leading national law firm, is proud to announce that it has the highest number of attorneys listed in the Top 50 Women Super Lawyers for 2009. The following six attorneys are among those receiving the highest point totals in the Michigan Super Lawyers nomination, research and blue ribbon review process.

Maria B. Abrahamsen, whose practice is devoted to representation of health care facilities and practitioners in corporate and regulatory matters, with emphasis on medical staff, reimbursement, and regulation of hospital-physician financial relationships. She is a member of the firm's Executive Board and was Leader of the Health Care Practice Group from 2000 to 2004. A resident of Bloomfield Village, Ms. Abrahamsen received a B.A. and a J.D., magna cum laude and Order of the Coif, from the University of Michigan.

Marie R. Deveney, whose principal areas of practice include gift, estate and generation skipping transfer tax planning, probate and trust administration, wills and trust agreements, and retirement distribution planning. She is a member of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, the Washtenaw County Bar Association, and the State Bar of Michigan. She is also a member of the Michigan Institute of Continuing Legal Education's Probate & Estate Planning Advisory Board. A resident of Ann Arbor, Ms. Deveney received an A.B., with distinction, from the University of Missouri at Kansas City, and an M.A. and J.D., summa cum laude, first in class and Order of the Coif, from the University of Michigan.

Lori McAllister is resident in the Lansing, Michigan office and is the firm's General Counsel. Ms. McAllister focuses on complex commercial litigation and the defense of class action lawsuits. She also serves as outside general counsel to both public and privately held companies, advising on such issues as corporate governance, compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley, and audit committee responsibilities. A resident of East Lansing, Ms. McAllister received a B.S., summa cum laude, from Central Michigan University and a J.D., cum laude, from the University of Michigan.

Aleksandra A. Miziolek is the Director of the firm's Business Services Department andhas established a practice that primarily focuses on mergers and acquisitions in the automotive and other manufacturing industries as well as infrastructure and project finance with a focus on Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs). Based in Detroit, she also advises public companies and their boards of directors, including special committees, in corporate governance and fiduciary duties. A resident of Grosse Pointe Park, Ms. Miziolek received a B.A., with high distinction, and a J.D., summa cum laude, from Wayne State University.

Marilyn A. Peters, whose practice focuses on complex commercial litigation with an emphasis on major construction cases and general business disputes litigation, including shareholder claims, supplier disputes, and general contract litigation. Ms. Peters previously served on the firm's Executive Committee and is currently the Managing Member of the firm's Bloomfield Hills office. A resident of Bloomfield Hills, Ms. Peters received a B.A., summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, from Wayne State University and a J.D., cum laude, from the University of Michigan.

Jill M. Wheaton, based in Ann Arbor,is a Dykema litigator involved in high-profile commercial litigation, products liability defense and appellate work for clients in the pharmaceutical and medical device industries as well as other sectors. She is the practice group leader for the firm's Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Litigation Team and also heads up the firm's Appellate Practice Group. A resident of Plymouth, Ms. Wheaton received a B.G.S. and a J.D., cum laude, from the University of Michigan.
