Dykema, a leading national law firm, today announced the launch of its Jeans for Charity program to support new local charities each month. Through this voluntary program employees who make discretionary donations to local charities may elect to wear jeans on a designated day. Employees in each of Dykema’s 10 offices will nominate deserving charities in their respective communities and ultimately select one to receive their donations.

Shaped by the input of its attorneys and staff, Jeans for Charity provides Dykema employees an important opportunity to give back to a variety of local nonprofits in their communities during the course of the year.

"Aware of the crippling effect the economy has had on charitable giving, our employees championed this program in order to provide meaningful contributions to charities in our communities and bolster support for these organizations," said Rex Schlaybaugh, Dykema’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. "We have always had a generous group of employees interested in creative ways to give back to our communities and this is our most recent endeavor."

By the end of year, Dykema expects its Jeans for Charity program to support 40 charitable organizations among the firm’s 10 offices.
