Dykema has been named one of the Top 100 Law Firms for Diversity 2009 by MultiCultural Law,a magazine that promotes diversity in the legal profession. We are also listed in the Top 100 Law Firms for Women and the Top 25 Law Firms for Native Americans.

The acknowledgement supports Dykema’s long-standing commitment to diversity. The firm believes that each of its 10 offices should broadly represent the professional workforce in the community in which it is located. In 2006, Dykema increased the number of both its minority members and associates. The firm launched a Diversity Scholarship for a University of Michigan law student and a similar program at the University of Illinois Law School.

"Diversity has long been a key component of management and professional standards at Dykema," said Rex E. Schlaybaugh, Jr., Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, "and it is extremely gratifying to receive this recognition."

Dykema attorneys regularly participate in programs that champion diversity, including the American Bar Association’s Minority Counsel Program, the Minority Corporate Counsel Association, the National Bar Association and the National Association of Women Lawyers. Dykema lawyers also participate in the Hispanic Bar Association, Arab American Bar Association, Black Women Lawyers Association, the Chicago Bar Association Alliance for Women, the State Bar of Michigan Indian Law Committee, the Korean American Bar Association, the National Native American Bar Association, and the Indian American Bar Association.
