Dykema Member Appointed To Attorney Discipline Board

Dykema, a leading national law firm, announces that James M. Cameron, Managing Member of Dykema’s Ann Arbor office, has been appointed by the Michigan Supreme Court to the Attorney Discipline Board (ADB).

The ADB appoints hearing panels composed of three volunteer attorneys to conduct the trial-level proceedings in which the Attorney Grievance Commission has filed a formal complaint alleging that a member of the State Bar of Michigan has committed misconduct. Upon request, the ADB may review the determination of a hearing panel.

Since joining Dykema in 1978, Mr. Cameron has been a member of the firm's Litigation Group.  His practice is primarily in the area of commercial litigation.  Mr. Cameron has an interest in alternative dispute resolution and has significant experience as a facilitator, mediator and arbitrator. Mr. Cameron has served as the Chairperson of the Michigan Teacher Tenure Commission, as a Trustee of the Ann Arbor Public Schools Board of Education, and as a Trustee of Scio Township.

A resident of Ann Arbor, Mr. Cameron received a B.A., cum laude, from Harvard University and a J.D. from American University.
