DALLAS—Dykema, a leading national law firm, announces that Christine Adamson Nowakhas joined Dykema as an Associate in the Litigation Department. Nowak’s practice focuses on business and commercial litigation, with an emphasis in the areas of probate, trust, tax and fiduciary duty litigation. She has a wealth of experience representing executors, beneficiaries, individual and corporate trustees, and guardians in all stages of litigation in various will and trust contests. Prior to joining Dykema, Ms. Nowak was an associate with K&L Gates, LLP (formerly Hughes Luce, LLP) in Dallas.

Nowak's representative experience includes litigating suits for declaratory relief, judicial termination, modification, partition and/or construction of trusts for various high wealth and individual family trusts. In particular, Ms. Nowak has substantial experience with emergency trust modification and partition actions driven by tax implications and requiring expedited approval by the Attorney General’s office. She has also represented charitable organizations in a number of hotly contested probate disputes and successfully defended suits for undue influence, tortious interference with inheritance and contract and conflicts of interest against named executors.

A resident of Dallas, Ms. Nowak received a B.B.A., cum laude, from Texas A&M University and is a recipient of the coveted Buck Weirus Spirit Award. Nowak earned her J.D., cum laude, from Baylor University School of Law. Additionally, Ms. Nowak, a frequent author and speaker on probate litigation topics, most recently co-published the articles "Judicial and Non-Judicial Trust Modifications and Terminations: A Practical Look at Changing the Irrevocable and Unamendable Trust" and "Drafting to Win: Winning the Will Contest on the Front End."
