LOS ANGELES—Dykema, a leading national law firm, today announced the addition of Christopher Moore Stevens to the firm's Litigation Department as Of Counsel in the Los Angeles office. Prior to joining Dykema, Stevens was a Senior Attorney in the Litigation practice of Calfee, Halter & Griswold, LLP in Cleveland, Ohio. He had been a partner in the Los Angeles office of Meserve, Mumper & Hughes LLP prior to joining Calfee.

Stevens's arrival follows Dykema's October announcements that Ronald Greenberg, former President of the World Jurist Association has joined the firm in Los Angeles.

"Adding strength and depth to our leading litigation practice is key to the strategic growth and direction of our firm," said Rex Schlaybaugh, Dykema's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. "Chris's arrival represents a significant addition to our Los Angeles office as well as our national litigation practice, particularly in the areas of toxic tort, product liability and commercial litigation."

A significant portion of Stevens' practice is focused on representing defendant manufacturers in complex, multi-party toxic tort and product liability litigation from commencement through trial. Stevens has played a major role in the development and implementation of case management orders and other complex litigation management tools that serve as a national model. Stevens has advised manufacturers and trade associations advocating liability reform efforts in various jurisdictions, has provided expert legislative testimony and executive branch presentations, and has successfully defended liability reforms facing constitutional challenges at the appellate level. Stevens is active in the ongoing development of expert scientific, medical, and state-of-the-art defenses.

In addition, Stevens has significant experience representing clients in commercial litigation in state and federal court in matters often involving allegations of fraud and misrepresentation, breach of duty, and violation of public policy or industry procedure.

Stevens received his B.A. degree in International Relations from Boston University and a J.D. from the Syracuse University College of Law.
