Cox Smith Matthews Incorporated (“Cox Smith”) today announced that attorney Kerri Condie has joined the firm’s Dallas office as a shareholder in the firm’s Estate Planning and Trust practice area.

Condie has helped clients with a wide variety of estate planning matters for more than two decades. As part of her focus on estate planning, she drafts documents including wills, trusts, statutory durable power and medical power of attorney, declaration of guardian, directive to physicians, family and surrogates and partition agreements. She also drafts life insurance trusts, charitable trusts, revocable and irrevocable trusts, and documents necessary for the establishment of family limited partnerships, limited liability companies, registered limited liability partnerships, corporations, general partnerships and limited partnerships. Condie has represented clients before the Internal Revenue Service and the Texas Employment Commission.

A graduate of Southern Methodist University School of Law, Condie received her Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Texas at Austin Graduate School of Business, and a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from the University of Wyoming.

“We’re thrilled to have Kerri join our growing Dallas office,” said Mark Andrews, managing shareholder of Cox Smith’s Dallas office and a member of the firm’s Management Advisory Committee.  “We have a deep bench of litigators, corporate and bankruptcy attorneys in Dallas, and her estate planning experience will be a great addition.”
